SAIS International Finance Club Fall 2018 Leadership
Albert Lai is a second year Latin American studies concentrator at SAIS, with a specialization in International Finance. He is currently working as a consultant for Ananda Asset Management Company to improve access to finance for women entrepreneurs. Albert spent his summer at IFC Asset Management company supporting deal origination and conducting financial analysis and due diligence for a 1.2 billion growth fund. Prior to moving to DC, he worked on small and medium enterprise development in Guatemala. Albert is a certified Open Water Diver.
Po-Kuan Wu is a second-year MA student at SAIS, concentrating in Energy, Resources and Environment and pursuing a specialization in infrastructure finance and Policy. Currently, Po is a sustainable energy finance fellow at Sustainable Capital advisors, a boutique financial advisory firm focused on delivering innovative capital solutions for the sustainable infrastructure sector. Po spent his summer interning with the Department of Commerce and working on oil and gas exports. Prior to that, he interned with DOC on fintech and blockchain policies. Before coming to SAIS, he was a TV news reporter based in Taipei, Taiwan.
Chih-Yang is a second year M.A. student concentrating in Energy, Resources and Environment and specializing in Infrastructure Finance and Policy. He is currently a research assistant at the Initiative for Sustainable Energy Policy. This Summer, Chih-Yang was interning at the International Market Analysis where he helped analyze start-up in Eurasia and green finance in Asia.
Stephanie Tarnovetchi is a second year MA student in the International Political Economy program, pursuing concentrations in International Finance and European Studies. Before coming to SAIS, she was the office manager of the Group of Thirty, a non-profit in DC that focuses on international economic and financial issues. During her time at SAIS, she has interned at the US Department of the Treasury, US State Department, and Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
Max is a second year M.A. student concentrating in General International Relations and International Economics with a specialization in Quantitative Methods. Wei Zhao is a first year Latin American Studies concentrator at SAIS, with a specialization in International Finance. Prior to attending graduate school, she worked with iDE (International Development Enterprise) and other non-profit organizations on business development and operations. Wei has a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from China. Wei is excited to apply her engineering background to the study at SAIS and focus on the sustainability in the emerging markets.
