Cristina Valdez Pineda
Cristina is a second year M.A. student concentrating in International Law and specializing in International Finance.  Most recently, she interned at Ernst & Young in New York City in their Transfer Pricing Consulting group where she helped analyze and document cross-border transactions for multinational firms and corporations.

Sanittawan Tan (Nikki)
Executive Vice President
Sanittawan Nikki Tan is a second year M.A student concentrating in Southeast Asia studies and specializing in International Finance.  Prior to joining SAIS, Nikki worked at APCO Worldwide, a strategic communications consulting firm, in Bangkok.  Over the summer, she interned at PwC Thailand under risk consulting where she did various projects on financial compliance and corporate intelligence.

Benji Newman
Bologna Representative
After graduating from the University of Michigan in May 2015, Benji went directly to Bologna for his first at SAIS.  He studies European and Eurasian Studies with a Western Europe focus. Benji has a weird and winding path of previous experiences which includes working on an archaeological dig in Rome, tutoring immigrants in Berlin, and being the political and economic affairs intern for the US Embassy in Sofia, Bulgaria.  Over the summer, Benji finally found a path with a little more sticking power, as he interned for JP Morgan in London in Credit Risk, a position which he will be returning to fulltime starting in August.

Quinn Campbell
1st Year Nanjing Representative
Quinn spent his first year at the Hopkins-Nanjing Center and is now a first year student at SAIS DC.  He is concentrating in China Studies and specializing in International Finance.  Last summer he interned with Deloitte Hong Kong on the Mergers & Acquisitions Tax team where he helped to build tax effective post-acquisition structures for Chinese outbound M&A deals.

Daniel J. Schiffrin
1st Year D.C. Representative
Daniel is a first year M.A. student concentrating in Latin American Studies and specializing in Emerging Markets & International Finance.  Prior to SAIS, Daniel spent three years as a litigation paralegal at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP taking part in high-stakes cases including those dealing with sovereign debt, credit default swaps, and antitrust matters.

Yanki Kalfa
1st year D.C. Representative
Yanki is a first year M.A. student concentrating in International Political Economy and specializing in Quantitative Methods & Economic Theory.  Prior to SAIS, Yanki has done four internships in finance in Turkey, mainly in investment banks and one in REIF management company.  His research interests are income inequality and financial economics.

Marco Dongheon Kim
MIEF Representative
Marco is a MIEF student at SAIS with a concentration in Macroeconomics & International Finance.  Prior to SAIS, Marco worked as a full-time Consultant at Deloitte Advisory’s Finance & Operations practice in the Los Angeles office.  Marco completed his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (concentration in finance) from the University of Southern California (USC) Marshall School of Business, where he graduated magna cum laude.  He has previous internship experiences in cross-border M&A investment banking, M&A advisory at Ernst & Young, and global wealth management at Merrill Lynch.
