February 22: “Private Equity and Clean Energy: Prospects and Challenges in Emerging Markets” – WHS is hosting Joe Lipscomb (SAIS ’90), Co-founder and Partner at Arborview Capital from 12:45 – 1:45pm in N417. February 23: “Can the Precautionary Motive Explain the Chinese Corporate Savings Puzzle? Evidence from the Liquid Assets Perspective” – This upcoming International Economics Faculty Seminar will feature Dr. Yi Huang, from the IMF’s Research Department. The event will take place from 4:30 – 6:00pm in BOB 714.

February 29: “Brazil’s Outlook in the Context of a Global Economic Slowdown” – WHS is hosting Dr. Otaviano Canuto, Vice President and Head of the Poverty Reduction and Economic Management (PREM) Network at the World Bank from 12:45 – 1:45pm in N517. February 24: “IDB at a Glance: An Introduction for Students” – The IDB cordially invites undergraduate and graduate students to its annual conference geared towards informing students about the IDB and its work. The event will feature several presentations from specialists on the institution’s mission, priorities and operations in addition to a resources fair showcasing IDB research, initiatives and employment for young professionals.
