The Club is holding its inaugural Finance Speed-Interviewing Workshop on November 30th from 5:30-8:00pm. The event will start with a speed-interviewing session with local alumni and professionals in the finance sector and will be followed by a networking session with refreshments. The Club will be selecting 30 students to participate. Interested students, please submit your resume and a brief note explaining your interest to email@example.com by FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 18 to be considered. Please note that the Club may ask participating students to contribute $10-15 per student to cover the cost of the event (depending on current fundraising efforts).

> November 17 (Thursday): The SAIS International Finance Speakers Series is hosting “Investors as Entrepreneurs: A New Theory of Investment Management” with a focus on hedge funds featuring SAIS Professor David Lingelbach, who was CEO of Bank of America’s business in the former Soviet Union, CEO of the first venture capital fund in Russia and a founder/co-founder of four startups. > December 1 (Thursday): The SAIS International Finance Club Speakers Series will be featuring former SAIS professor and IMF economist Anthony Elson in “The Global Financial Crisis and Reform of the International Financial Architecture – A Progress Report,” where Elson will discuss his recently published book, “Governing Global Finance” in a discussion of where things stand in relation to the various reform initiatives that have been made since the onset of the Global Financial crisis in late 2008 and what is the unfinished agenda for action. The event will take place from from 4:30-6:00pm in Nitze 517.
